About the Service Certification course

This is our most popular course and suitable for gym owner/operators who want to have their own in-house maintenance capability.
Our Training courses cover all aspects from the essentials of how to maintain a variety of gym equipment through to complex diagnosis and fault finding for maintenance professionals. Our training instructors are fully qualified with many years of equipment field service experience.
The training course focuses on three essential elements: Theory of operation, practical hands‐on application of knowledge, and hands‐on troubleshooting procedures and practices. The course instructors act as facilitators, guiding technicians as they actively perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

Course Agenda

  • Week 1: - Overview of gym Equipment’s, information of tools and their uses, perform basic servicing, adjust and lubricate treadmill running belts, re-tension drive belts, fit and adjust gym cables, and daily cleaning and inspection routines, basic diagnosis and general repairs, identify main components and their function, how to change parts such as treadmill running belts, running decks, drive belt and how to make replacement gym cables. It covers all of the most popular cardio and gym equipment’s.
  • Week 2: - Understanding how machine systems work, understanding design principles, testing and measuring techniques including fault finding of motors, circuit boards, drive systems, Advanced servicing techniques are learnt so as to be able to predict failures and complete preventative maintenance.

Service Certification

Upon successful completion of the Service Certification Training Program, Students will be competent on all gym equipment problem solving and troubleshooting and electronic driver board repairing.
A certificate of completion is awarded to students who successfully complete all practical class performance standards.

Course prerequisites

We require that technicians bring a book to class as we provide all course materials, necessary points for solving problems.
We recommend that technicians are familiar with the use of common hand tools and multi‐meters, have some practical field service experience on fitness equipment products, and have a basic understanding of electronics.

Course hours

Class starts at 10am to 4pm each day. We will take a break afternoon for lunch, which will be provided on full class days.

Registration

Course registration is completed by filling out the registration form at the end of this document. Once we review and approve your request, we will reserve a seat for you in the course and send you a confirmation. Course seats are processed on a first come first served basis. We can’t always accommodate your request for a seat in a specific course, but we will try our best.

Cancellation Policy

If a technician is unable to attend, please notify us at rssportsfitness@gmail.com at the earliest possible time so we can give that seat to another student. We strongly request that you do not cancel your registration within 10 days of the start date of the course. RS Sports reserves the right to cancel any course with 10 days advanced notice.
